Belton High School’s FFA Chapter made its mark in school history Friday, Nov. 20, when the group conducted its charter signing ceremony.
The event was conducted in the BHS Forum Theatre, and included a ceremony lead by FFA Area 7 officers, a welcome message from State Rep. Chris Molendorp, a proclamation read by State Sen. David Pearce, and a keynote address by Missouri FFA President Samantha Warner.
Also during the meeting, BHS FFA officers were installed and the group’s charter was signed. The meeting was also attended by Belton Board of Education President John West, school district and high school administrators, students, and parents.
Members of Belton’s FFA chapter include: officers Bobby Benezette, president; Corey Zumalt, vice president; Kyle DeWeese, secretary; Ryan Bohannon, treasurer; Haley McDonald, reporter; Joe Balentine, sentinel; Skye Good, historian; Forrest Sawyer, parliamentarian; and members Cody Chaney, Austin Drever, Daniel Pool, Isaac Schneller, Gideon Weeden, Jared Gertz, Jacob Hanner, Ryan Holman, James Seibert, Bourbon Jones, Jairus Harrell, and Jennifer Laird. The group’s adviser is John Ferguson.
