Pirate volleyball coach Eric Scherfenberg has been named the Kansas City Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Scherfenberg will receive the award Nov. 13 at the association's banquet to be held at UMKC. Along with the award, Scherfenberg will be the head coach for the Missouri All-Star Team, who plays the Kansas All-Stars Sunday, Nov. 15 at Avila University.
